Environmental Commission

The Kinnelon Environmental Commission has two open seats, which meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Borough Hall on the last Thursday of each month, excluding November. Please send your resume to Karen Iuele, Acting Borough Clerk at 130 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ 07405.

Kinnelon Library Board of Trustees Volunteer

The Kinnelon Library Board of Trustees is calling for community-minded individuals to volunteer as Library Trustees. This is an exciting and crucial time to serve as a trustee as we continue to map out our goals for this 21st century library.
The trustee would serve a 3-year remainder period. Interested community members should send a letter of interest and a resume to Mayor Collins at 130 Kinnelon Road.
The Kinnelon Public library recently celebrated its 50th anniversary as the library and community center of Kinnelon. The mission of the Kinnelon Library is to encourage learning and support discovery for Kinnelon Residents of all ages by providing physical access to library materials, programs, technology and the Internet, while expanding community access to services through digital collections and mobile technology.

Kinnelon Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Kinnelon Zoning Board of Adjustment is looking for a Kinnelon Resident to serve as an Alternate Member. Responsibilities of an Alternate Member are to learn the duties required by the N.J. Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55-D), Boro Building Code and how the board functions overall. This would be a non voting position, unless a quorum is needed. Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, in the Boro Hall, at 8pm. Interested persons can submit an essay/resume and mail or drop it off to the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall or email it to kiuele@kinnelonboro.org, marked to the attention of the Board of Adjustment Chairperson, Mr. Gene Orcutt.

Open Space Advisory Committee

 There are two vacant seats to be filled on the Open Space Advisory Committee and also a 3rd seat that needs to be filled specifically by a HS Sophomore. You must be a Kinnelon resident and have an interest in Open Space, Recreation & Historic Preservation. You must be able to attend monthly meetings and be willing to participate in various Trail Hikes throughout the year. The meetings are held at Borough Hall on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Interested persons can write an essay and drop it off with the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall and mark it to the attention of the Open Space Advisory Committee.
