MAYOR ROBERT W. COLLINS

Mayor Collins (2010 to present) is currently serving a second four-year term of office after having been elected by a wide margin of residents in the 2014 general election. As the Borough’s Chief Executive Officer he sees to the faithful execution of the laws of the state and ordinances of the Borough. Prior to serving as the Borough’s 13th Mayor, he served as a Councilman from August of 2001 to December of 2009 and held several leadership positions including that of Council President and Chairman of the Finance and Public Open Space Advisory Committees. He is currently a member of the New Jersey League of Municipalities General Legislation Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors. Mayor Collins has been honored by the Morris County Freeholders for his dedicated and distinguished service on the Morris County Open Space Trust Fund Committee having served as the Committee’s Chairman in 2011. Mayor Collins is a former member of the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company having served as a Lieutenant with Company #2. He is an Eagle Scout and the former Treasurer for Kinnelon Boy Scout Troop #277.  He and his wife Susan have lived in Kinnelon for over 35 years and have three grown children.
