Silas Condict Park Entrance

The Morris County Park Commission Engineer has provided an Update to the On-Going Entrance Road Repairs to Silas Condict Park.

As of Monday, June 13th...

  • The roadway edge treatment is now complete.  This section is slightly more than 500’ long and was the most laborious part of the project, and will help prevent the undermining of the road in future major storm events.
  • Currently under construction is the drainage swale adjacent to the road, which will be Improved and Fortified.
  • Paving is the final step, which the contractor expects will begin the week of June 20th.

Barring any extreme weather that could impact progress of the project, the Engineer estimates that we might be able to open the road in 2-weeks (week of June 27th).

 The Morris County Park Commission Greatly Appreciates the Patience of Kinnelon Residents during these Emergency Road Repairs and Looks Forward to the Reopening of the Main Entrance Road shortly.
