Games will be played on the weekends starting November 2nd at Mennen Sports Arena- 161 E Hanover Ave, Morristown, NJ 07960.

The Kinnelon youth hockey teams will play a 16-game schedule in the Morris County Youth Hockey League (MCYHL).  For more information on the league including rules, teams, and code of conduct, please visit https://www.mcyhl.net/

Dependent on registration numbers, we will be introducing more teams within accordance to USA Hockey age brackets to ensure smaller teams, fairer play, and more ice time per player. We will have a maximum of 15 players plus a goalie on each team.  In case we exceed the maximum numbers of registration in an age division, we will form an additional team in the same age division or adjust the rosters.

Mini-Mites: This is a great opportunity to introduce your starting skater to the sport of Hockey! Coaches are allowed to be on the ice during the game to help ensure a fun learning environment.

Middle School: Our middle school will play in the Skylands Middle School league.  It is a 10-game season and will play in the middle school showcase in March.

All players are eligible to play up an age bracket with a proper liability waiver, but forbidden to play down. Due to USA Hockey governance, a player playing down will result in a forfeit.

USA Hockey Registration:

All participants must complete the USA Hockey registration process prior to participating in a USA Hockey sanctioned league. Participant registration is complete when the individual member registration information and all appropriate fees are received, and the participant is processed by a USA Hockey member program.

Individuals to register directly with USA Hockey at membership.usahockey.com

Practice:

There will be 16 practices during the season. We will start the week of September 6th, Monday at 7:20-8:20 PM at Sport-O-Rama 20 College Rd, Monsey, NY 10952. Teams will alternate every other Monday until November 4th. After the first week of November, we will be subject to ice availability for the remaining practice schedule and gym availability for off-ice practices.

For players needing equipment, please email us upon registration, contactus@kinnelonyouthhockey.org, with your specific needs and sizes, and we will do our best to find match.

New Fair Play Policy:

We are introducing a fair play policy to observe the principle of fair play and promote the proper behavior and respect for all participants. Please visit our website to review our fair play policy and rules around playing up or down. https://kinnelonyouthhockey.org/fair-play-policy.
