Volunteer Opportunities
Historical Preservation Advisory Committee
The Kinnelon Historic Committee is seeking 2-3 volunteers who can help manage a separate 501 c-3 charitable corporation, known as “Friends of The Kinnelon Museum”. This not for profit corporation was founded over 30 years ago to help finance improvements to the Kinnelon Museum. Regrettably, through death and attriction, the number of required Trustees has gotten to a critical low. We are seeking 2-3 Kinnelon Residents who are willing to attend 4 one hour long meetings a year and do some other minimal housekeeping on order to keep this organization alive. Volunteers interested in promoting and preserving Kinnelon’s History should contact Thomas Kline, Borough Historian at Thomaslkline3@aol.com or Laura Olstein at LCOlstein@gmail.com

Kinnelon Animal Shelter
Our All-Volunteer Family is responsible for adoption counseling, matchmaking pets to their adopters, animal feeding, socializing, exercising and medicating (if necessary), housekeeping chores and clerical duties, as well as all general business functions such as fundraising, technology support, finance and promoting the shelter through marketing, publicity and communication initiatives.
Relatively speaking, KVAS is a small shelter but we have big dreams for the cats and dogs in our care. Our fabulous volunteers provide compassion, love and companionship while ensuring that our four-legged friends receive the comfort of a warm bed, nutritious food, and veterinary care while awaiting their forever home.
