Historical Preservation Advisory Committee
The Kinnelon Historic Committee is seeking 2-3 volunteers who can help manage a separate 501 c-3 charitable corporation, known as “Friends of The Kinnelon Museum”. This not for profit corporation was founded over 30 years ago to help finance improvements to the Kinnelon Museum. Regrettably, through death and attriction, the number of required Trustees has gotten to a critical low. We are seeking 2-3 Kinnelon Residents who are willing to attend 4 one hour long meetings a year and do some other minimal housekeeping on order to keep this organization alive. Kinnelon Environmental Committee
There are two vacant seats to be filled on the Kinnelon Environmental Committee. You must be a Kinnelon Resident. The Kinnelon Environmental Committee mets the last Thursday of the month @ 7:30 pm. Intrested persons can email there resume or drop it off with the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall.
Kinnelon Open Space Advisory Committee
There is one vacant seats to be filled on the Open Space Advisory Committee by a HS Sophomore. You must be a Kinnelon resident and have an interest in Open Space, Recreation & Historic Preservation. You must be able to attend monthly meetings and be willing to participate in various Trail Hikes throughout the year. The meetings are held at Borough Hall on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Interested persons can write an essay and either email it or drop it off with the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall and mark it to the attention of the Open Space Advisory Committee Chairperson.
Kinnelon Planning Board
The Kinnelon Planning Board is looking for a Kinnelon Resident to serve as a Member. Meetings are held on the 1st Thursdays of each month, in the Boro Hall, at 7pm. Interested persons can submit an essay/resume and mail or drop it off to the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall or email it to kiuele@kinnelonboro.org, marked to the attention of the Planning Board Chairperson, Mr. Lockwood.
Kinnelon Zoning Board of Adjustment
The Kinnelon Zoning Board of Adjustment is looking for a Kinnelon Resident to serve as an Alternate Member. Responsibilities of an Alternate Member are to learn the duties required by the N.J. Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55-D), Boro Building Code and how the board functions overall. This would be a non-voting position unless a quorum is needed. Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, in the Boro Hall, at 8pm. Interested persons can submit an essay/resume and mail or drop it off to the Borough Clerk at the Borough Hall or email it to kiuele@kinnelonboro.org, marked to the attention of the Board of Adjustment Chairperson, Mr. Carpenter.

Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company
The Fire Company is 100% Volunteer relying on our own residents to protect their neighbors. New members are always welcome. Residents as young as 16 can join as Jr. Firefighters. Membership is composed of both men and women of all abilities. Exterior firefighters, drivers, and interior firefighters are needed. Training is provided. Come to the Company 1 firehouse on Kiel Ave the first Monday of any month at 7:30p to find out more. Email
Tri-Boro First Aid Squad
Tri-Boro First Aid Squad (TBFAS) is a volunteer first aid squad located in Morris County New Jersey. Tri-Boro has been serving the communities of Butler, Bloomingdale, and Kinnelon since 1939. The Squad consists of 45+ members that are New Jersey certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and first responders. The members of the squad volunteer their time and provide dedicated service to their neighbors in the three towns and surrounding communities as part of a mutual aid program. Join .
Kinnelon Animal Shelter
Our All-Volunteer Family is responsible for adoption counseling, matchmaking pets to their adopters, animal feeding, socializing, exercising and medicating (if necessary), housekeeping chores and clerical duties, as well as all general business functions such as fundraising, technology support, finance and promoting the shelter through marketing, publicity and communication initiatives.
Relatively speaking, KVAS is a small shelter but we have big dreams for the cats and dogs in our care. Our fabulous volunteers provide compassion, love and companionship while ensuring that our four-legged friends receive the comfort of a warm bed, nutritious food, and veterinary care while awaiting their forever home.

Kinnelon Recreation
Kinnelon Recreation is in need of volunteer coaches for all sorts of sports - baseball, softball, lacrosse...Call or stop by and talk to Melanie at the Rec Dept. Volunteers are also needed to help run programs in Arts, Drama, and General Recreation.
