KINNELON BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

Applicants must meet the requirements of N.J.S.A.40A:14-122, must hold a New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification and is in good standing with the NJ Police Training Commission Licensing Program, or is attending an approved NJ Police Academy PTC Alternate Route Program by date of hire.

The Kinnelon Borough Police Department is accepting resumes for the position of full-time probationary police officer. All potential candidates, that meet the requirements above, are required to meet the following eligibility criteria at the time of resume filing.

  • Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) but not more than thirty-five (35) years of age of the date of appointment except as provided by law.
  • Must be of good moral character.
  • Must not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
  • Must posses a valid New Jersey Sate Driver's License.
  • Required to have completed at least 60 college credits OR a minimum length of 2 years of active duty in the armed forces having been honorably discharged.
